Cisco has announced a suite of new technologies aimed at helping organizations accelerate secure AI adoption and maximize the value of their AI investments. As enterprises face mounting pressure to adapt quickly, Cisco is reimagining datacenters and workplaces to meet the evolving demands of the AI-driven world.
“Cisco is delivering the critical infrastructure for the AI era—secure networks and experiences, optimized for AI that connect the world and power the global economy,” said Jeetu Patel, President and Chief Product Officer, Cisco. “We’re witnessing an unprecedented surge in innovation as organizations embrace agentic AI to automate workflows and solve complex problems. Cisco has a rich history of helping companies run their infrastructure; today, we’re building on that foundation to power the next generation of AI.”
Patrick Milligan, Chief Information Security Officer at Ford Motor Company, added, “Agentic AI is being used across Ford’s business, from design to engineering to manufacturing and for customer support. As we build, deploy, and manage sophisticated AI capabilities at scale, Cisco’s networking and security solutions are an important part of the overall technology infrastructure.”
At Cisco Live, the company introduced multiple advancements across key areas:
Intelligent Workplaces for the AI Era
Cisco launched new network devices and AI-powered unified management tools to enable autonomous, proactive operations across campus, branch, and industrial networks. These include the AI-powered Room Vision PTZ camera for cinematic meetings, Jira Workflow Automation in the Cisco AI Assistant for Webex Suite, and Webex AI Agent for industry-specific customer sexlf-service.
AgenticOps for Simplified IT Operations
To simplify operations, Cisco introduced Cisco AI Canvas, a collaborative generative interface, and Cisco AI Assistant, a conversational tool across the Cisco suite. These innovations leverage Cisco’s Deep Network Model, a domain-specific large language model trained on Cisco’s internal knowledge base, to enable AI-powered IT management.
Data Center Innovations for AI Demands
Cisco enhanced its compute and network solutions to meet the requirements of agentic AI, focusing on bandwidth, latency, and power efficiency. It also joined the EPRI Open Power AI Consortium to support AI-driven solutions for power grid modernization and introduced tools for service providers to deploy and monetize AI services.
Strengthened AI Security Capabilities
Cisco bolstered its security portfolio with updates to its Hybrid Mesh Firewall and Universal ZTNA offerings. Two new firewall models—the 6100 and 200 series—were announced, along with new features across Cisco Security Cloud to address emerging agentic AI threats.
Enhancing Digital Resilience
Through deeper integrations between Cisco and Splunk, updates to Splunk Observability Cloud and AppDynamics, and new bidirectional capabilities with Cisco ThousandEyes, Cisco is empowering customers with real-time insights to ensure more resilient digital operations.
Unified AI-Driven Management
Cisco previewed Cisco Cloud Control, a new platform for unified management across networking, security, and observability. The solution features AI-native tools like Cisco AI Canvas and AI Assistant to streamline cross-product workflows, improve issue resolution, and simplify infrastructure management.
These announcements reflect Cisco’s strategic push to provide the foundational infrastructure needed to thrive in the AI era.
