Mphasis Partners with Sixfold to Revolutionize Insurance Underwriting via Generative AI

Mphasis has formed a strategic alliance with UK–US AI firm Sixfold to integrate its generative AI platform into insurance workflows, targeting faster underwriting, richer risk insights, and automated submission intake for global insurers.

“By leveraging Sixfold’s AI expertise in combination with expertise from Mphasis.ai and our insurance technology capabilities, we are able to deliver advanced, data-driven automation solutions for global insurers, driving efficiency, accuracy, and innovation across the insurance value chain,” said Srikumar Ramanathan, Chief Solutions Officer, Mphasis

The integration is expected to cut underwriting review time by more than half, supporting faster yet more informed decision-making without adding operational overhead

“Sixfold was built to solve real problems for underwriters—and to make the entire process better for brokers and customers,” said Alex Schmelkin, Founder and CEO of Sixfold. “With them, insurers can move quickly, see impact fast, and do it all without adding extra work to their teams. That’s a win for everyone involved.”

Sixfold’s platform, already deployed at major carriers, offers contextual risk decision-making by automating data ingestion, evaluating risk signals, and presenting underwriters with prioritized insights tailored to each insurer’s guidelines

Quick Take

This partnership reflects a maturing AI trend in insurance—moving from experimentation to embedded, outcome-focused automation. By halving review time and delivering contextual insights, Mphasis and Sixfold address core underwriter needs: speed, accuracy, and scalability. This could signal a broader shift in underwriting models across the industry.
